We’re releasing our album this Friday! If you haven’ heard, this Friday the 25th, we will be throwing an album release party at Red Square in downtown Albany (388 Broadway). Doors open at 8p and there’s a $10 cover. With the $10 cover, you will receive a digital download card for the new album, Spanning the Gap! The album will also be for sale on vinyl at the show. You can also pre-order the album on iTunes – https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/spanning-the-gap/id715080244
Richard James & The Name Changers will be opening the show around 9p. We also just uploaded a brand new video, with a bunch of footage from the studio. Enjoy!
We’re playing tonight at McGeary’s from 730-1030p! It’s supposed to be a beautiful night, and we’ll be outside on the patio. McGeary’s is located on Pearl St. next to the Palace Theater. There’s no cover charge either! Come on out and have fun with us. We have plenty of shows coming up for you!
8/29 – McGeary’s 730-1030
8/31 – Final Stretch Festival – Saratoga Springs – 7p-11p
9/1 – Final Stretch Festival – Saratoga Springs – 7p-11p
We are going in to White Lake Studios in 3 weeks to record our next album — Alan Evans (Soulive) is producing it too! We’re very excited to see what happens with our music through this process.
We are asking for your help in funding this one due to the overall investment it is going to take. You can go to this link to see a BRAND NEW music video as well as an interview with the band talking about the new project.
We are on a funding deadline with Kickstarter. How it works is you donate whatever amount you like (there are a bunch of rewards), and it is added towards the goal. If the goal is met by the deadline (July 19), the band receives the funding. If the goal is not met, everyone is reimbursed and the band does not receive funding.
So please tell everyone you know and let us know what you think!
We will be playing this Sunday, aka Father’s Day, at Averill Park’s Summer Fest. Bring your Dads, Grandpas and family to this one, it’s going to be a fun time. Our guitarists’ band, Way Down, will be starting things off around Noon and we will be ending the Festival from 2p-4p. There’s no cover charge and there’s a lot to do. Summer Fest is being held in Butler Park in Averill Park, NY. You can check out the flier here:
We are very excited to be opening for the legendary Bernie Worrell and his Orchestra this Friday! Bernie Worrell was the keyboardist of the Talking Heads and Parlament Funkadelic — he is also a member of the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame. You can pre-order tickets at the Putnam Den website.
We also have 3 new videos on youtube from our show on 4/19 with the Alan Evans Trio! You can check them out on our Videos page. See you all Friday!
